Jorge Blanco Mendana

Jorge a real wizard with making transgenic animals among his many talents.

He has been transforming the genomes of many flies and is doing cutting edge research into new methods for labeling brains and generating mutants.

He is working on colour vision, beetle opsin, Drosophila melanogaster, Drosophila suzukii, and Coenosia attenuata projects. He has generated a range of piggyBac vectors for a number of neurobiology research projects.
